That, in fit of desperation, they stole from each other and killed each other and devised modern capitalistic economics. When they came upon the shores of the Americas, where people had plenty, there was a great cultural and ideological clash, and the europeans grabbed and are grabbing everything they can, even though there is enough for everyone. Seconds later I google Sapir's "Emergent and Saturated Culture." And found this. Funny how things work...
