@Eugene Interesting that you made your comment when you did. Hours prior to your message I published MMAC OS 1.0: Does the Universe have an Operating System? .
I find it synchronistic with your comment about the holographic universe and cosmology in general... "the order of things". Its not that the calendar or the zodiac determine anything.

The Maya calendrical system, specifically the Tzolkin calendar, models a very subtle natural process that eluded detection by every other culture on the planet. It is the natural process that determines what happens and when. A deterministic universe is not all that bad. The evidence points to determinism wherever we look. Every event is conditioned by those that preceded it... we can't get around that reality.

Rohaan, I found your site by chance and spent a couple of hours reading through your materials. I was very intrigued because alot of your views resemble my own. I previously read a book called Holographic universe that describes the misconceptions of who we think we are and describing us as a part of nature and universe. I too believe that everything is interconnected and we iselate with the rest of the world and respond to the ecxitations of sound, light and vibration. I am still not convinced that calendars such be it zodiac or mayan can determine our nature or a theme representing our traits, and even less convinced that events can have themes that are predictable. I agree that there are patterns in nature and a beauty of our universe is in the pattern in which particles on micro-scale relate to masses on macro-scale echoing their strucure. Still I think our actions are unpredictible and chaotic. Or at least I hope they are-this way we choose our own destiny and make our own choices. And yet I notice some genetic traits (me beeing an unwilling participent of my actions, actions based on social behavior ( me making abvious choices)

Pleasure reading your work.

@Julie Thanks for the recommendation. I assume you've read his book? If so do you know if he has much to say about the Tzolkin cycle code?

I urge you to also consider Mark Van Stone as a Maya scholar, glypher, art historian... Please check out his book "2012: Science and Prophecy of the Ancient Maya," and thanks for this interesting article!
